My name is Dr. Stephanie Gold and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Boulder, CO. I provide therapy for adults and teens who have anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
In therapy, I collaborate with my patients to develop self-awareness. It is my job to understand who you are and how you experience the world so that I can help you to better understand yourself.
I will work with you to understand your patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Often times people are unaware that they are stuck in specific repetitive patterns that are causing them to get in their own way. Sometimes these patterns can cause symptoms of anxiety and depression; and it is my job to help alleviate these symptoms.
In the context of a safe, warm, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship, I will encourage you to examine the ways in which you relate to others and to yourself. I will guide you in the development of self-compassion.
One of the great paradoxes of therapy is that in order to change, you need to accept yourself as you are. When your therapist understands you and accepts you exactly as you are, this becomes possible.
I am grateful to be able to do this work. I am nourished by the deep emotional connections that I experience with my patients, and I hope you will be, too!
A good match between patient and therapist is a necessary ingredient for therapeutic success. If my approach sounds like it would be good for you, please reach out to me to schedule a free 20 minute phone conversation to further explore the possibility of working together.
At the end of the conversation, if we agree that we would like to try working together, then we will schedule a session.
All are welcome. I welcome and respect clients of all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, and spiritual practices.
